01 About the company and products
What is NOVATON and how is it related to Akvaton?
NOVATON is a trademark of Akvaton used to present the products on the Ukrainian and EU markets. Akvaton remains the manufacturer and quality guarantor, while NOVATON is the commercial name under which the products are sold.
Which standards do your products comply with?
The products comply with the international standards IEC and EN.
Can products be made to custom specifications?
Yes. We manufacture products according to your specific requirements. Fill out the form on the website — our specialist will review your requirements and recommend the most suitable solution.
What is magnet wire?
Magnet wire — also called winding or enamelled wire — is a copper or aluminium conductor coated with a thin layer of insulating enamel rather than plastic. The enamel is what lets thousands of turns sit tightly against one another in a coil; without it a motor, transformer or generator winding would not be possible.
Akvaton manufactures it to IEC 60317 / 60851 in thermal classes from 130 to 220 °C: round Ø 0.15–2.5 mm and rectangular up to 12×4 mm.
What is a copper busbar?
A copper busbar is a solid bar of electrolytic copper — rectangular (also called flat bar) or round. It carries high currents inside switchgear, transformers and distribution boards, where cable would be impractical.
Akvaton supplies busbar and rod to EN 13601 / EN 13602 in Cu-ETP and Cu-OF, soft or hard temper, with up to 100% recycled copper.
02 Order
How do I place an order?
For clients in EU countries, orders are placed through Elktrim plant — our official EU representative (Poland). For the Ukrainian market — via the request form on the website or directly with our sales manager:
Nadiia Sinitsyna, +38 093 847-69-66, e-mail: nsp.sinitsyna@ukr.net
What is the minimum order?
For Ukraine, the minimum order for standard items is from 3 kg.
For EU clients, the minimum order for standard items is from 20 kg.
For custom orders (non-standard parameters, large volumes) terms are agreed individually with the manager.
Which payment methods are available in Ukraine?
Bank transfer to the company’s settlement account.
Which payment methods are available for EU clients?
After the order is confirmed, Elktrim Sp. z o.o. (Poland) issues an invoice. Payment terms (prepayment, deferred payment and other conditions) are defined in the commercial offer and agreed with the client individually.
What does the price depend on?
Pricing is based on the LME copper market value, product specifications, order volume, and delivery terms. As raw-material quotes change, the price may be adjusted — the current value is provided at the time of the request.
Are long-term supply contracts possible?
Yes. For industrial clients and distributors, we offer long-term contracts with exclusive partnership terms.
03 Delivery and lead times
Which countries do you ship to?
Akvaton supplies products to Ukraine and the European Union. Deliveries to EU clients are handled via Elktrim plant — our official EU representative (Poland).
Can EU clients contact Akvaton directly?
Yes, they can, but order placement and the actual purchase go through Elktrim plant (Poland).
What are the production and shipping lead times?
Standard items are delivered within 3 weeks. Custom orders — approximately up to 30 days depending on complexity and volume. Exact lead times are confirmed after the request is submitted.
How is the product delivered?
For clients in Ukraine, delivery is made directly from the factory via vetted logistics partners — to your warehouse, production site or construction project. Terms and delivery cost are agreed individually depending on order volume.
For clients in EU countries, orders and supply are handled by Elktrim plant (Poland) — our official EU representative, which provides logistics and supports the deal at every stage.
How is the product packaged?
Products ship on spools or drums. The packaging keeps the product safe during transport and delivery. More details are available in the product catalog under the Packaging section.
Can the packaging be returned?
Spools and drums are returnable packaging — we collect and reuse them. This option is available on an individual basis when the contract is agreed.
04 Technical support
Which materials are used for enamel-wire insulation?
For producing the electrical-insulation enamel we use varnishes from the European manufacturer Essex.
Do you provide technical consultations on product selection?
Yes. Our technical specialists will help you select the right product for the specific task. Fill out the form on the website — we reply within 1 business day.
05 Documents and certification
Which documents are supplied with the batch?
Every batch is accompanied by certificates of conformity, a test protocol, and a raw-material incoming-inspection protocol. The full document package is provided at shipment.
Are documents available for CBAM and Scope 3 reporting?
We are currently undergoing the relevant certification and plan to complete it in 2026. For the current status, please contact a manager.
06 Ecology and ESG
What is Akvaton's product carbon footprint?
According to our calculations, the carbon footprint of Akvaton products for 2025 is approximately 1.37 t CO₂ per tonne of finished product. A detailed report is available upon request.
Why is recycled copper an advantage for B2B clients?
Akvaton uses 100% recycled copper. For B2B clients, this means lower Scope 3 emissions, compliance with ESG requirements and stronger positions in tenders. From 2026 the EU is tightening carbon-footprint requirements for imported products — choosing Akvaton as a supplier today already covers this concern.
Which environmental practices does Akvaton apply in production?
100% of copper and aluminium production waste is returned to recycling. Exhaust gases are cleaned with 95–99% efficiency — below EU norms. Solar panels cover 25% of the facility’s electricity needs. Surplus production heat is recovered to heat the premises. Plastic spools are returned and reused.
Does the choice of wire affect the environment?
Yes. By choosing Akvaton products you get high-quality wire with a reduced carbon footprint — at no extra cost. It is a conscious choice in favour of the environment that costs you nothing additional.
